Advanced Strategy
Advanced StS2 strategy: deck pivoting, energy curves, scaling vs burst archetypes, and turn-skip plays for higher Ascensions.
Deck Archetypes Over Individual Cards
A mediocre card that fits your archetype is better than a great card that doesn't. Synergy beats raw power.
Damage vs. Scaling
Act 1: raw damage. Act 2: start scaling. Act 3+: pure scaling wins. Adapt your drafting priorities.
Path Planning
Plan your path through each act before starting. Consider your HP, deck strength, and whether you need shops, campfires, or elites.
Energy Management
Cards that generate energy (or cost 0) are high priority. An extra energy per turn is roughly +25% more plays.
Know When to Upgrade vs. Rest
Upgrading a key card is usually better than healing. Key upgrades can prevent more damage than the heal restores.
Boss Relic Swaps
Trading your starting relic for a boss relic at the start is high risk, high reward. Evaluate based on which character you're playing.
